Moldavia is one of the core principalities of Romania and it existed since the 14th century up until 1859, when it united with Wallachia and put the basis to the Romania that we know and love today.

Moldavia is a region rich in history and culture, and probably the best-known city in the area is Iasi. There are various landmarks that are worth seeing, such as the Palace of Culture or the "Vasile Alecsandri" National Theatre in Iasi.

We also suggest taking a trip to the Neamt Fortress, and if you want to see more of the wildlife of the reservation, you can take a trip to the Auroch Reservation, or go hiking in the Bicaz Gorges.
